When is surgery needed?
Some conditions never resolve on their own: a bladder stone keeps forming, a tumor keeps growing, a pyometra becomes an emergency. In these cases, surgery is not an option among others — it is the treatment.
Before any decision, a full clinical examination and, if needed, imaging or blood work confirm that your pet can undergo the procedure safely.

Every operation follows the same protocol: a pre-op visit with a precise quote, aseptic preparation of the surgical field, anesthesia dosed to the gram, and structured pain management.

After the operation
Your pet goes home with clear instructions: rest, collar if needed, medication schedule. Most patients eat again the same evening.
Stitches are removed after ten to fourteen days, and the follow-up visit is included. We stay reachable if anything concerns you.

Is general anesthesia dangerous for my pet?
Pre-anesthetic screening (blood work, clinical exam) identifies risk factors before the procedure. Dosing is adapted to weight and age, and pain is managed continuously.
Does sterilization change my pet's behavior?
Hormone-related behaviors (roaming, marking, heat) usually decrease. Weight gain is not automatic: it is managed with diet adjustments.
When are the stitches removed?
Ten to fourteen days after the operation, during a quick follow-up visit. Your pet wears a collar for the first few days to protect the wound.
Will my pet be in pain?
Pain management starts before the incision and continues at home with prescribed medication. A comfortable pet heals faster — this is part of the protocol.
